What Handoro costs

Both sides of it: what a customer pays to use the app, and what a tradesperson pays to be listed and to take a job. Nothing on this page needs an account to read.

Two ways to get it fixed

Try it yourself

Describe the problem and send a photo or two. You get a diagnosis and the steps to fix it, written for the tools most people actually own, and a clear refusal when the job needs a professional, which is most of the value.

Find a tradesperson

Tell Handoro what the job is, add a photo or two and the times you are free, and it ranks verified tradespeople in your area against that job. An assistant agrees a price with them on your behalf before you speak to anyone. Your address and phone number go to the one you choose and to nobody else. You pay them directly, because Handoro never handles your money.

What it costs, if you are a customer

Handoro Pro is £6.99 a week, £19.99 a month or £69.99 a year. It gives you the full repair guide rather than the first step, and it is where the ranking switches on: tradespeople ordered for your specific job by our AI, weighing how well they fit the work, their rating, whether they are verified, their price and how far away they are, with their contact details. One job reaches five tradespeople instead of one, and you can have two jobs running at once.

Handoro Premium is £8.99 a week, £24.99 a month or £89.99 a year. It includes everything in Pro, puts one job in front of ten tradespeople at once, and lets you run five jobs at the same time, so you are comparing quotes rather than waiting on one.

Both are bought inside the app through the App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment, the renewal and any refund; you cancel in your own store account settings at any time. Stores show the price in your local currency and it may differ slightly.

A free account reaches one tradesperson, for one job at a time, and gets the diagnosis plus the first step of any repair guide, so you can see what the app does before paying for it. That one name is drawn at random from the tradespeople doing that trade in your country. It is not the top of a ranking, because a free account is not ranked at all: ordering by fit, rating and distance is what Pro and Premium buy.

Handoro is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it.

For the work itself you pay nothing to Handoro. You pay the tradesperson directly, at the price you approved in the app.

If you work in the trades

List your trade, your rates and the area you cover, and job requests come to you. The listing subscription is £39.99 a month or £299.99 a year, bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play. It is a separate product from the customer plans, and you cannot hold both on one account.

Verification is how you get listed, not a badge on top

Every tradesperson on Handoro is verified before their listing appears. There is no unverified tier and no badge to earn: a listing either passed the checks or it is not there.

We ask for identity, and for the credentials the law actually requires for the work you do. Of the 92 trades on Handoro only six carry a mandatory credential: gas work needs Gas Safe registration, and electrical work needs a competent person scheme. Everything else needs no licence in the UK and we do not invent one.

Public liability insurance is optional. If you hold it we show it on your listing, because customers look for it. If you do not, you can still be listed.

Your documents are seen by us alone. They are never shown to customers or to other tradespeople, and they cannot be downloaded from the app once uploaded. We keep the verification outcome rather than the document wherever we are able to.

What we charge you, and how

The full terms are in the Tradesperson Agreement and in clauses 5 and 6 of the Terms of Use.

Handoro never holds anyone else's money

The customer pays the tradesperson directly: cash, bank transfer, or the tradesperson's own card machine. That payment does not pass through Handoro, and Handoro is not a party to it.

The only payments Handoro takes are its own. Subscriptions are sold and collected by Apple and Google. Commission is invoiced to the tradesperson as our own business customer. There is no escrow, no wallet, no client-money account and no payout: Handoro collects its own fees from its own customers, and nothing else.

Where Handoro operates

Handoro runs in the United Kingdom. That is the whole app, not only the marketplace: tradesperson listings, ranked suggestions, price agreement and the assistant for repairs you do yourself are all offered there and nowhere else. Handoro is built for iOS and Android.
