The terms that apply when you list yourself on Handoro as a tradesperson.
This agreement applies to you if you list yourself on Handoro as a tradesperson. It sits on top of the Terms of Use, which continue to apply. Where the two disagree about something specific to listing, this agreement wins.
You are entering into this as a business, not as a consumer. Consumer protection rules that apply to our customers do not apply to this agreement.
We put your listing in front of people describing a job, and we pass their request to you. That is the whole of it.
We are not your employer, your agent, or a party to the work you agree to do. We do not vet the customer, guarantee that a job exists, or guarantee that you will be paid. We do not set your prices.
Listing is currently open in the United Kingdom only. We open a country when we can lawfully invoice and collect commission there, and not before. The app tells you at registration, and the server refuses a listing from anywhere else, so this is not something you can discover after building a profile.
If a country is added later, nothing about this agreement changes and you simply become able to list. If coverage is ever withdrawn from a country, existing listings are given notice and commission already owed remains payable.
You may upload documents evidencing your identity, business registration, qualifications or insurance, as photographs or PDFs. Where a trade requires registration by law, such as Gas Safe for gas work or a competent person scheme for electrical work, we ask for it before the listing goes live.
Three things about those documents.
They are stored on a path that cannot be read back, not by you and not by us through the app, because a readable path holding identity documents becomes an archive that one leaked token would expose. What you can see in your account is the list of what you sent, when, and what state it reached.
They are destroyed 30 days after we decide, automatically. What we keep is the outcome: that you were verified or were not, when, and which types of document we examined. We keep that because it is the evidence your badge was earned, and it holds no document. Thirty days rather than immediately, so that a decision you query can still be looked at.
And verification is a check of the documents you gave us, not a guarantee to customers about your work. We say so wherever the badge appears.
Providing a document that is not yours, or one that has expired, ends the account.
Where a customer's suggestions are ranked, they are ranked on how well your trades fit the job, your rating, whether you are verified, your price and your area, in that order of importance. Nobody pays to rank higher, and there is no way to buy placement. Our commission is the same percentage whoever does the work, so we gain nothing from putting one of you above another. If you are ranked below someone else it is because of those factors and nothing else. Where the model that does the ranking cannot be reached, the same factors are applied mechanically instead.
Every lead is ranked. Until 15 September 2026 this was not so: a customer on a free account was shown one tradesperson picked by chance, so some of the work you were offered reached you out of a draw rather than because you ranked above anybody. That has ended. Finding a tradesperson now requires a customer subscription, every customer who reaches you has been through the ranking described above, and no lead is decided by chance.
We tell you this because it cuts both ways: a new listing with no ratings still gets work through the draw, and a highly rated listing does not win every free enquiry.
After a customer accepts a price agreed through the app, they are invited to rate you from one to five stars and may add a short comment. It is optional for them.
We remove a rating that is unlawful, that identifies somebody who did not consent, that has nothing to do with the work, or that we find was written in exchange for something, by a competitor, or as pressure over a price. We do not remove a rating merely because you dispute it, and we do not sell removals: no payment, subscription or commission arrangement buys the removal of a rating or the addition of one.
If you believe a rating is false, write to info@safeimai.com with what you know. We will look at it and tell you the outcome. If the evidence does not settle it, the rating stands.
A customer who deletes their account leaves their stars behind, without the link to them, because removing them would change your published average on the strength of something unrelated to your work.
Listing requires an active tradesperson subscription, bought through the App Store or Google Play. This is a different product from the customer subscriptions, Handoro Pro and Handoro Premium, and a customer subscription does not entitle you to list.
You may hold both on one account. Until 15 September 2026 you could not, and the app refused to sell you the second one; that restriction has been removed. When you are the customer, Handoro will not offer you your own listing and you cannot negotiate with yourself.
If your subscription lapses, your listing stops appearing. Commission already owed does not lapse with it.
Free trials are offered on customer subscriptions only.
Clauses 5 and 6 of the Terms of Use set out the commission rate, when it becomes due, and the authorisation you give us to charge your registered payment method. Those clauses form part of this agreement and are not restated here, because a term written twice is a term that will one day say two different things.
In summary, and without replacing them: 25% of the price the customer approves for your first 365 days from the day your listing is created, 30% after that, charged once per job 24 hours after the appointment you agreed with the customer, plus tax where applicable, with an invoice every time. Either you or the customer can tell us, for seven days after the appointment, that the job did not go ahead. Nothing is then charged, or anything already charged is credited and refunded, once a person has looked at it.
Commission is owed for a job that was carried out. It does not depend on whether the customer has paid you: collecting your own fee is between you and them, and clause 8 explains why we are not in the middle of it.
The customer pays you. We never hold, receive or pass on money owed to you, and we are not an escrow. This is a deliberate limit on what Handoro is rather than an omission.
A customer may attach up to two photographs and one video of the fault to their job request. If they do, you receive it on WhatsApp after you reply to the first message.
You receive it as a separate business, not as our processor. Once it reaches you, you decide what happens to it and you are responsible for that under data protection law. The customer has been told this cannot be undone, and the following are conditions of listing:
These are not suggestions. A photograph taken inside somebody's home can show more than the fault, and the customer sent it on the understanding that it was going to one tradesperson for one job.
Messages about jobs are sent only because you asked to receive them. Reply STOP to any message and two things happen at once and permanently: that number is never messaged again, and your listing comes down. Neither can be reversed by us or by you, because a block that can be lifted is not a block.
We may deactivate your listing if: a commission payment fails on all five attempts; your subscription lapses; your billing details are incomplete or unverifiable; a listing is inaccurate; documents turn out to be false; or you use the platform to harass anyone or to misuse a customer's photographs.
Where the reason is unpaid commission, the listing comes back when the balance clears. Where it is falsified documents, it does not.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any twelve month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or a customer who does not go ahead.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can end this agreement at any time by deactivating your listing and deleting your account. We can end it on notice, or immediately for a breach of clause 12.
When you delete your account, your listing stops being visible to anyone at that moment, and the documents you sent us for verification are destroyed rather than left to run out their thirty days.
Ending it does not cancel commission already owed on a job the customer approved, and does not delete records we have to keep for tax purposes. Ratings customers left about you also stay, without the customers attached to them; see clause 5a.
We will tell you before a change takes effect and you will be asked to accept it in the app. If you do not accept it you can stop listing. Changes never apply retrospectively to commission already owed.

The other party to this agreement is SAFEIM.AI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17342838, with its registered office at 2nd Floor, College House, 17 King Edwards Road, Ruislip, London HA4 7AE, United Kingdom. Notices under this agreement, including anything about an invoice, a suspension or a commission you disagree with, go to info@safeimai.com, and we answer within five working days.
This version of the agreement is dated 2026-09-17. We keep earlier versions and can send you the one that was in force on a particular date, which matters here because the commission rate that applies to a job is the one recorded when the customer approved it.
